How Does It Work?
The Content Planner is the one and only physical planner for your social media and blog content.
How To Use The Content Planner
Ready to Start Planning?
Match your months.
Place each monthly sticker along with the coordinating tab sticker. Fill in the date numbers. Repeat for each spread.
Use the reference guide for both standard and marketing holidays like #nationalcatday included at the beginning of The Content Planner.
Before Each Month
Set 1 to 4 business goals.
For example, gaining your first 100 Instagram followers, launching a free eBook to your email list, generating $5,000 in product sales and hosting 2 Instagram giveaways.
Once you achieve your monthly goals, remember to check them off to show that they're complete.
Stay ahead of upcoming dates on your radar.
Never miss important retail opportunities, popular holidays and seasons.
Reference the 'On Your Radar' section at the beginning of The Content Planner.
Then, fill out the space prior to each month according to your business, blog or social needs (like a holiday campaign, product launch, giveaway or video series).
You'll always be prepared with valuable blog and social content and able to anticipate trends.
For example, if you start planning your Valentine's Day content in January, once the actual date rolls around, you'll be far ahead of the game with your finished posts, images and captions.
Target your #Hashtags and Hitlist.
Use this section to list out relevant hashtags to include in your posts for the month. Write down a "hitlist" of accounts to connect and collaborate with to grow your brand and help keep your eyes on the prize.
For example, if you're a lifestyle and travel blogger, you might want to include hashtags like #darlingescapes and #flashesofdelight then add @theeverygirl to your hitlist.
Assign yourself daily tasks and tips from an expert.
Refer to the 'Tasks & Tips' before each month for simple proven strategies that our founder has personally tested on her own businesses.
For example, dedicate one day each week to unwind and do an activity you enjoy. Taking care of yourself is taking care of your business.
Monthly Spreads
Each Content Planner has 15 fillable monthly spreads so you can schedule your content for an entire month (or year) all at once.
This makes it easier to break down your overall marketing strategy into more manageable day-to-day tasks and crush your goals quicker.
Track your social and financial growth.
Measure your success month-to-month and see how much your followers, page likes, subscribers and sales have grown.
If you see that your numbers aren't moving in the right direction, prioritize time for brainstorming ideas to increase your reach.
This is also an effective way to record and compare the results of your content marketing.
For example, last month you ran an Instagram ad campaign and within 30 days you increased your followers by 2,134. Great job! Record those gains and keep movin' on up.
Create a theme for each month.
Write down the focus of your posts this month. Need ideas? Choose from 72 unique themes to get your creativity flowing and keep you inspired the entire year.
For example, maybe you want your January blog posts to have a goal setting theme or for November, you'd like your Instagram feed to focus on gratitude.
At the beginning of each week, set 1-2 small goals to stay focused.
Ideally, these should be related to your monthly goal.
For example, if your goal for January is to generate $5,000 in sales, then each weekly goal should work towards increasing your sales by at least $1,250.
Then throughout the week, make sure to track your wins.
Writing down your accomplishments regardless of their size or impact will keep you motivated by seeing the progress you're making.
This also gives you the opportunity to see if you're not making any progress and if it's time to change up your goals.
For example, if after one week, you've successfully generated $1,679 in sales - write it down!
Finish the sentence, 'This month, I will...' and 'This month, I won't...'
Use this space to set personal goals. After all, you are the foundation of your business and when you're operating at your best, your business will as well.
For example, you could write 'This month, I will wake up every day at 7am and work out' and then 'This month, I won't stress about not being enough'.
Stickers
Place a social media sticker on a line of each day to plan when, what and where you post.
Use the remaining stickers as visual reminders for giveaways, "Me" time, important dates, coffee dates, reminders, photoshoots, travel, writing your blog posts, scheduling email campaigns and most importantly, taking breaks.
For example, if you set a weekly goal of driving more traffic to your blog through social media, you would alternate the stickers for Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram for each day and target each interaction towards promoting your blog.
Dreamspace
Each month includes an entire page dedicated to dreaming BIG.
Draw, mind map, write notes, journal, make lists, doodle or plan your next major idea by using the blank space or lined section.
Get inspired by quotes from some of the most influential, successful and powerful women in the world.
Additional blank lined and grid pages are included at the back of The Content Planner so you have lots of space for your incredible ideas and plans.
